hello world.
Before anything happens,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY QI! : D
Yes! i have this strange urge to post, even though i've got nothing in my tiny brain right now. Hum hum..I shall recount today's events for all to see then.
So tired. Went to school assembly and almost dropped dead. Walked on to chemistry. went for english. Went for lit. Went for physics lecture. Gosh. I almost slept through. Went to SS, and got screwed over for the third time for not "Listening" about the point form essay. Went amaths and panicked over rumors of DC's aimed at the buggers who skipped off after the essay was done (yes, me included). After which i decided to completely forget about it and read harry potter since i have two hours of blankness in the head. Well.
The ending sucked.
Horribly.
Anyway, discovered the DC thing was a joke, scooted out of school like a happy go lucky rabbit on wheels, and went over to rodrigues's house for tution. Wrote a freaking long two and a half page essay on my beloved english teacher lit book. (The influences that affect krishnan's life.) Had a nice discussion with my dad about how we should all sit back and relax after a day of work, and i'm gonna go the best for my o's. Well, that's that for today.
Now for the real post.

Mood: Thinkish-Spirtual
Listening to: Kaoru's Journey I (Gut Guitar)

Just thought over some stuff and i really feel looking-forwardish and happy today.

Yesterday night Clarence called me and he shared some stuff with me about the seven pillars of the church and what we gotta go..and i cant help but think that i've joined a church which is really incredible.

Just thinking of how church progressed over these months i've joined..it's so fast! I remember the first time i came into church..I was hard hearted and rejectful, i was closed and cautious. But yet, the people were kind, loving, understanding, and the leaders who led me always understood my perceptions and helped me go through phase after phase. As the months went past, i saw the church grow bigger..I remember the time when we were 500-600+. I remember my first cell group meeting where it was just Me, Dexter, Clarence, Lynette, Zhenghui, Jieru, Jingfen, Samteo, Cherie, Dawei, and Elieen. Now i look at where we're standing and i'm really proud to see how we've grown..we've got so many new people- Pei Jun, Mu-Ying, Vivien, Wei Hao..and the list goes on. And i'm really happy that this trend is moving on! i see new people who i've never even met coming to church..and i see old members coming back too. Bernice, Alicia and Samantha Yap. It's grown so much from just D5 to something that of incredible spiritual size, strength and nature. I can't help but feel that it's really been accelerating and moving fast!

And i always remembered the up and coming leaders..it makes me proud to see people like Ranford and Carlo rising up into the minstry/leaders area. I remember when i first saw ranford- just a new friend back then..Now he's someone great! A person with a strong faith, a man of God with incredible spirit, love, and he's rising up to be a leader.

I look back and I look at the church now..we're moving to Paya Lebar, things are going up great and rising like never before. I see new people become leaders and serve in ministry..and all this. It just makes me so, so proud to be in Heart of God Church. The love never died out..the growth never stopped. Everything just shot up and really went up exponentially..and it's growing and growing!

Now i really can't wait but look towards the future and take into my anticipating mind the things that we are gonna be doing and what the church is gonna be like. It's a new journey, it's a bigger church, we're moving to a new level of spirituality, and i think i'm going to ride the wave with the rest of the youths and adults in this church, and move on towards the amazing future God has set for us!

The time has come
To stand for all we believe in
So I for one am gonna
Give my praise to You!

Mood: Happy
Listening to: Shade of the revolution by rurouni Kenshin

Fell sick today! But still..

Had lunch with Swan Lim, Peck Ming, Teck Seng and my dad as well as my bro. Went tution..stuff was great, did a compre and some other english stuff. While i was going back home, i had this really great experience with God.

Let me share with you an experience i had today: I was on the bus home from tution..and it's a long ride, about 30 mins, so i popped out my ipod and played some music. So i played christian stuff..and then it really got into my head..and i ended up singing in my head..and the presence of God came down on me! and i just sat on the bus worshipping him with my mind in the bus for the journey..It was really great.

And I heard God's voice telling me that this is what he means by worshipping him and putting him first..and that he sees and loves me so much for trying so hard.

I think i'm going to try to take it up to a whole new level by worshipping him whenever i can..I think that God really is decending upon my life in a great way..and i'm not gonna stand still..i'm going to run to him, even through this troubling time!

From IN: Should race be a factor in friendship?

Hi Alison!

Definetly not. I believe race should not be important when friends are chosen. Here in Singapore, we are a multi-racial and religious society, so we should adopt this friendly attitude towards others whether they be black or white, light or dark. Though it's a human instinct to stick around people of your own race and not feel exactly comfortable with others, we should try our best to be friends with people of different races, cultures and religions. Race is not something to identify or to seperate a certian person from the rest. It's not race that matters the most- other factors are more important, such as character. To choose a person as a friend over race is not a wise thing to do. By doing that one is just creating a tiny rift between the races. I think that in this rising age of communication and information, cultures and races will come together, and i don't think that all of them will accept each other as friends. Although this may be a simple thing- it can lead to something much more conflicting if this attitude spreads throughout the community. In summary- If we choose friends over race and if the community has this attitude, we are just creating a problem for ourselves- a rift between the races and a potential racial hotspot.

I am a Christian in this place called Heart of God church. When i look around, i see friends of different races- Chinese, Malay, Indian - a mix of races. All of us, i feel, really are together as one church not only because of one God and two Pastors, but our descision to be friends with each other, setting race aside. Let's say we take away the racial factor here. What will happen is that Heart of God church would be nothing more than a place youths go- and nothing less. There may be some togetherness or community, but there will always be a rift between the races. This is why we have to be racially tolerant in terms of friendship!

If we take away this factor of race in friendship, we will not only see the end to subtle racial rifts- We will see great things happening as people from different races come together as one. The bible says that if people of different generations, (Mary and Elizabeth) come together, great things will happen. I believe if people of different generations AND races come together, we will see not only amazing things- we will see incredible breakthroughs in not only racial barriers- but cultural, religious and other walls in our world!
